After the long winter season passes, we feel a breath of spring with some flowers and the Resurrection of Christ. As you know, though our church building was torn down two years ago, we expect and appreciate the new church building which God will offer. So our members, who were scattered then, are coming together into our church, moving in the neighborhood of our church or within 30-minute-distance by car or by foot. We have heard that First Church in Windsor has prayed to God for our church every Sunday. So have we. The relationship between us is friendlier than any other in the Connecticut Conference and Kyunggi Presbytery. Thank Pastor Rick for inviting me to the UCC General Synod. My wife and I will also visit the First Church in Windsor as well. I hope I will have a good experience through this visitation. Our church has contracted a church building site in a new town a few days ago. The price of the site is approximately 1,900,000,000 won ($2,040,300,00). We paid a tenth of the total already. We have to pay the rest before the church building is completed. We will use the money from the sale of our previous church site in order to pay the rest. However, we need another 2,000,000,000 won ($2,140,000.00) for the church building. A part of this price will be supplied by contributions and donations from our church members and the other part will also be loaned from a bank. We know well that we will begin with much difficulty, but that we will overcome the difficulty with God's grace. When Carol and Jack visited Korea, they dropped in at two sites for our church building. We will have built the church by next year on the first site of the two. Its size is 770㎡. It seems a little small and will be surrounded on all sides by apartments which are under construction now. Our church appreciates your interest in our church, informing me of pastor Pastor Rick Huleatt's message from Carol and Jack that the First Church in Windsor will also participate in the church construction project. Most of all, we hope the First Church in Windsor prays for our church continuously. All the members of New Hasanwoon Church will preach the gospel, do missionary work and help the poor, the old and the sick with God's love in foreign countries as well as in Korea. I'm hoping that I will see you and all members of First church in Windsor in July. My church members and I also pray every Sundays that God's grace be with all the members in your church. Friendly, Pastor, Lee Kyunglim 주안에서 Hasanwoon church 교우들과 저는 First Church in Windsor 목사님과 성도들에게 인사드립니다. 긴 겨울도 다 지나가고 어느새 각종 꽃들과 새들이 노래하는 봄이 왔습니다. 봄소식과 함께 주님께서 부활하신 날도 함께 오고 있습니다. 우리교회는 아름다운 옛 교회는 잃었지만, 새로 짓게 될 새 교회에 대한 기대감으로 흥분과 감사의 생활을 하고 있습니다. 흩어진 교인들 대부분이 교회를 찾아오고 있습니다. 그들은 차로 30분 전후의 거리에 새 집으로 이사했습니다. 이렇게 교회가 이사한지도 벌써 2년이 넘었습니다. 우리는 주일마다 First Church in Windsor에서 우리교회를 위해 기도한다는 말을 들었습니다. 우리교회도 주일마다 First Church in Windsor를 위해 기도하고 있습니다. Connecticut Conference와 Kyunggi presbytery와의 파트너쉽 가운데 가장 큰 결실은 우리 양 교회의 돈독한 관계가 된 것이라고 생각합니다. 지난번 Pastor Rick의 UCC General Synod 참석을 위해 초청해 주셨음을 기억하고 감사하고 있습니다. 저와 아내는 초청을 기쁘게 받아들이면서 UCC General Synod 참석위해 First Church in Windsor를 방문하겠습니다. 다시 한 번 저와 아내를 초청해 주셔서 감사드립니다. 이번 미국여행은 저에게 특별히 좋은 여행이 되리라 생각합니다. 우리교회는 며칠 전 새로 세워지는 신도시에 새로 지어질 교회 땅을 계약했습니다. 땅값은 19억원입니다. 그 중 1/10을 지불했습니다. 건축 전까지 모두 지불해야 합니다. 땅 값은 전에 교회 땅을 보상받아 지불하게 됩니다. 그리고 교회건축 비용은 약 20억원정도 필요합니다. 이 비용은 교우들의 헌금과 부족분은 은행에서 빌려야 할것 같습니다.그러나 하나님이 모든 어려움을 극복하게 해 주실 것입니다. 그 장소를 캐롤과 잭이 두 곳의 장소를 지난여름 방문 때 보았었는데, 그중 첫 번째 장소입니다. 크기는 770㎡입니다. 좀 작지만 좋습니다. 주변은 모두 아파트로 지어지게 됩니다. 지금 그곳은 도시기반시설을 공사하고 있습니다. 우리는 내년 여름부터 교회당을 짓게 될 것입니다. 저는 지난 여름, 캐롤과 잭을 통해 휴릿목사님의 말씀이라면서 윈저교회에서도 하산운교회 건축할 때 같이 동참해 주시겠다는 말씀을 들었습니다. 우리교회 온 교인들은 매우 감사하고 있습니다. 무엇보다도 교회의 건축을 위해 끊임없는 기도를 부탁합니다. 이렇게 세워질 우리교회는 한국뿐 아니라 외국까지 복음을 전하여 약하고, 소외되고,집과 나라를 잃고 어려움에 빠진 자들에게 주의 복음을 전하는 일을 하게 될 것입니다. 마지막으로 First Church in Windsor 온 교우에게도 인사를 드립니다. 오는 6월 방문 때 만나길 바라면서 주안에서 평안하시길 바랍니다. 하산운교회 이경림목사
