Hasanwoon church 교우들의 인사도 전합니다 특히 50th General Synod of the United Church of Christ 에 저를 초청해 주신 pastor Rick 목사님과 교우 여러분 모두에게 감사의 말씀 드립니다. Greetings in the name of our Lord. the brethren of Hasanwoon church send their welcome. I'm deeply grateful to you and Reverend Rick for the invitation in the 50th General Synod of the United Church of Christ. 한국 속담에 "10년이면 강산도 변한다"는 말이 있습니다. Hasanwoon church와 The first church in Windsor와의 파트너쉽도 10년이 넘었으나 우리는 변하지 읺고 처음 사랑과 믿음을 그대로 갖고 있습니다. 이것은 하나님이 우리 두 교회의 파트너쉽을 축복 하심입니다. One of the Korean proverb says that “Ten years is an epoch. In other words, after ten years, even nature itself changes.” However, after ten years, the partnership between Hasanwoon church and the first church in Windsor still lives in love and faith. It means that God blesses our partnership. 또한 Kyunggi Presbytery와 Connecticut Conference 의 파트너 교회 중 가장 모범적 교회가 되었습니다. 이것은 정말로 하나님이 주신 축복입니다. 더욱이 저는 오늘 두번째로 이 교회에서 설교를 합니다. 너무 감격스럽습니다. Moreover, we set a good example of partnership between Kyunggi Presbytery and Connecticut Conference. This is the real blessings from God. And today I give my second sermon here. I'm greatly moved and impressed. 하나님은 이 세상을 창조하셨습니다. 모든 만물을 창조하시고 마지막 날에 사람을 창조하시고 말씀하시길 "이 모든 것은 널 위해 만든거야" 하셨습니다. 더 나가 "나 자신도 널 위해 있단다" 하시면서 우리를 사랑하셨습니다. 하나님은 당신의 모든 것을 아낌없이 우리 위해 주십니다. God created this world. After he created all things, on the last day he created us human and said that "All things are here for you." What is more, he loved us, saying that "I am also here for you." He is very generous to us. 더욱이 우리가 죄로 죽게 되었을 때 하나님 자신이 우리 죄 대신 친히 십자가 죽으셨습니다. 행동으로 당신의 사랑을 보여 주신 것입니다. 하나님은 우리들을 정말 사랑하십니다. 우리 없으면 한시도 못 사실 분이십니다. 그 사랑을 우리도 알기에 우리도 하나님 없이는 한시도 살 수 없습니다. When we were to die due to our sin, Jesus himself was crucified for us. He showed his love by action. Because he loves us so much, he cannot live without us. Likewise, we also cannot live without him. 세상사는 방식이 두 가지가 있습니다. 하나는 하나님방식으로 사는 것이고 하나는 세상방식입니다. 하나님방식은 하나님의 창조의 뜻대로 사는 것입니다. 하나님방식 대로만 살면 모두가 행복해지며 모두가 잘 살 수 있습니다. 그래서 우리는 모든 이와 같이 살아야 하며, 이 일에 최선을 다해야 합니다. 교회는 온 세상에 이 길을 선포하고 가르치고 전해야합니다. There are two ways of living. One is to live according to God's way, and the other is to live according to the worldly way. When we keep God's way, we can easily be happy. That's why we have to live like that and try to live like that. And the church has the mission to teach people God's way of living life. 그런데, 이 세상은 죄로 말미암아 하나님방식대로 사는 것이 힘들어졌습니다. 망가져 버렸습니다. 이제 하나님방식으로 살면 고통이 따릅니다. 손해도 봅니다. 그래서 많은 사람들이 편리하고 쉬운 길을 찾게 되었습니다. 이것이 세상방식입니다. 그러다 보니 이웃이나 남을 생각하지 않게 되었습니다. 모든 것을 자기 중심적으로, 자기만의 욕심으로 보고, 생각하며, 행동하게 되었습니다. 이 식은 세상방식이며, 사탄의 방식입니다. 그 끝은 죽음입니다. Unfortunately, this world has become a harder place to live in God's way because of our sin. All went wrong. Now, when we try to live in God's way, we suffer. We even lose sometimes. Therefore, many people now try to find easier way of living life. This is called the worldly way of living life. Now, we don't care for our neighbor or friends anymore. Everything is done in a selfish way. This worldly way of living life is in other words, Satan's way. The end is nothing but death. 망가진 세상에서 하나님방식으로 살려면, 우리가 건강해야 합니다. 몸도,마음도 믿음도 건강해야 합니다. 공부도 많이 해야 합니다. 부자도 되야 합니다. 많이 노력해야 합니다. 우리 모두 그렇게 되길 바랍니다. 그래야 악한 사탄의 세상에 갇힌 자를 건지고, 약하고 없는 사람을 돕고 고아,과부,집없는 사람들을 도울 수 있을 것입니다. 이 땅의 모든 사람들이 함께 더불어 잘 사는 것이 하나님의 뜻이고 하나님 식입니다. Hasanwoon church와 The first church in Windsor가 이 일에 앞장서야 합니다. In order to keep God's way in this devastated world, we have to be sound. Body, Mind, and faith have to be sound. We also have to study and be rich. We need to try. I hope everyone turns out like that. That's how we can save those tempted by Satan, those who are week, poor, orphans, and widow. God wants us everyone to be happy together. And we, Hasanwoon church and the first church in Windsor, should take the lead. 요즘 한국이 경제적으로 많은 성장을 가져왔습니다. 세계의 유래가 없을 정도입니다. 경제적으로는 많은 성장을 했습니다. 경제성장은 우리를 편리하게하며, 자유하게합니다. 이것은 분명히 축복입니다. 그러나 행복을 가진 자 일부만이 누린다면 모두에게 불행이 찾아옵니다. These days, Korea has showed great economic growth, which is unprecedented. Thanks to economic growth, we now have become more comfortable and freer. This is, of course, a blessing. But, only few enjoy this blessing, everybody will suffer soon. 특별히 한국과 북한이 이렇게 되어가고 있습니다. 점점 차이가 벌어집니다. 우리는 저들과 평화를 이루어 함께 살아야 합니다. 저들은 우리의 형제들입니다. 그러기 위해서는 그들과 대화도 나누고 물질도 나눠 도와야 합니다.하나가 되야 합니다, 교회가 해야 합니다. South and North Korea are especially becoming like this. The Gap is getting larger. We have to make peace with them. They are our brothers. We should have communication and share the wealth. We should be one and it's our, church's, job. 다툼과 전쟁으론 절대 평화를 이룰 수없습니다. 이웃간 빈부문제든, 남,북한 문제든 아니 국가간 빈곤의 격차문제든 교회는 그들과 함께 하며 나눠야 합니다. Hasanwoon church도 The first church in Windsor도 이일을 해야 합니다. 예수님은 소자에게 냉수 한 그릇이라도 대접하는 자를 결코 잊지 않겠다고 하셨습니다. (And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward. Matthew 10:42) With conflict and war, we will never have peace. Whether it's an economic gap between neighbor, north and south korea, or other countries, the church should try to share and lessen the economic gap. Hasanwoon church and the first church in Windsor are not exceptions. Jesus said "And if anyone gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is my disciple, I tell you the truth, he will certainly not lose his reward." It is written in Matthew chapter10 verse42 요즘 한국사회의 또 하나의 특징은 많은 한국인들이 외국인과 혼인하고 있습니다. 이런 현상은 한국이 경제적으로 성장되면서 세계화되고 있는 현상입니다. 바람직합니다. 결혼은 어느 누구와도 어느 민족과도 할 수 있습니다. 이렇게 되면 다민족사회가 됩니다. Korea's one recent trend is that many Koreans are marrying foreigners. This has become one of the major trends, as Korea grows economically. Very favorable. You can marry anyone, any race. And we will soon be a multiracial country. 다민족사회가 되려면 많은 사람들이 이해하고 노력해야만 합니다. 그래야만 서로 다른 사람들이라도 함께 행복하게 살 수 있습니다. 한국은 아직 다민족사회에 대한 인식이 약합니다. 여기서 오는 많은 문제들이 생기고 있습니다. In order to be a multiracial country, we should try hard to understand each other. That's the only way we can achieve harmony between many different people. But, due to our lack of understanding about multiracial country, we are having a lot of problems. 이런 문제들을 위해 Hasanwoon church는 교육하고, 이해시키며, 저들을 보호 할 것입니다. 그런데 한국은 지금 다민족사회에 적응 못해 많은 외국여성들과 그의 자들이 힘들어 하고 있습니다. 한국민족의 오랜 단일 민족주의가 폭 넓은 다문화 다민족사회를 잘 받아 들이지 못하고 있습니다. 그러나 이런 문제들은 곧 극복 될 것입니다. 우리교회는 이런 사회문제 극복을 위해 힘쓸 것입니다. In order to solve these kinds of problems, Hasanwoon church will educate, make them understand, and protect them. Now, many foreign women and their sons are having hard times. Our long era of racially homogenous culture made it hard for us to accept multiracial culture. Soon however we will overcome these problems. Our church will put all efforts to overcome these social problems. 우리교회는 약 2년 8개월 전, 새도시 계획에 의해 임시로 교회를 옮겼습니다.2년 후 우리교회는 새로운 터 위에 새 교회에서 예배를 드리게 됩니다. 결코 크지 않은 770㎡의 대지위에 교회를 세울 것입니다. 교회를 짓기 위해서는 많은 기도가 필요합니다. 물질도 필요합니다. 그러나, 하나님은 이 모든 것을 예비하셔서 당신의 뜻을 이뤄 나가실 것입니다. About two years and eight months before, my church temporarily moved due to urban planning. Two years later, my church will be built in a new town. About 3080 square yard. We need a lot of prayer for this construction. We also need wealth. But, God will all prepare this and will accomplish his will. 교회는 장소와 건물도 중요하나, 더 중요한 것은 어디에 세워지든 그 지역에서의 하나님의 일을 하는 것입니다. 농촌이든 도시든, 부유한 지역이든 가난한 지역이든, 상관없습니다. 이제 우리교회는 새 도시에서 또 힘들게 살아가는 사람들을 찾아가 그들을 섬길 것입니다. 그들의 아픔을 함께 나눌 것입니다. 주님의 복음을 전할 것입니다. Where to build the church is important, but what is more important is to do what God wants wherever it is. Whether it's the countryside, city, rich area, or poor area, it doesn't matter. We will look for people who are suffering and help them. We will share their pain and tell God's words. 새 교회가 세워지면 여러분들을 초청하겠습니다. 여러분과 같이 하나님께 예배 드리고 싶습니다. 그 때 많이 방문해 주시기 바랍니다. 감사합니다. I thank you for the partnership between Hasanwoon church and the first church in Windsor. Let us be have brotherly partnership that glorifies you.
