Dear Pastor Lee and Mrs. Kwon (Hyejung),
We celebrated our Thanksgiving Day today with a young teacher friend and her family. We had 20 people at her house for the traditional turkey dinner. I helped with lots of cooking and with much washing of dishes and pans.
Tomorrow we will drive to New York to see our friends that you met at our cottage in Massachusetts. The husband Norman had a very serious heart operation last month. So we will drive to see him at his home and I cooked a lot to bring the lunch to them.
We have been thinking of you all at Hasanwoon and thinking of how much your visit meant to us this summer.
We had some bad news today. Chris' dad called and Chris' grandmother Emma is in the hospital since last night and she will probably not live. She is younger than me and she is always helping care for Chris. Jack and I are very sad as she is a very important part of her family. She raised about 12 children by herself most of the time. Please Pastor Lee pray for her recovery if it is Jesus' will, I know that you have a deep connection to the Lord and your prayers will get there very quickly.
Our best love you your son Yoonsung and Hye Rim and her family. We will see Lindsay on Saturday and share a day with her.
It seems that Rev. Mary Angela Davis and her Husband Rev. Nick will be going to your annual meeting in the Spring. We are all very excited that that may be possible.
All our love and please help pray for Chris' grandmother Emma Walker. May God Bless you all and keep you well.
Oh one more thing, some good news. My sister Jean will be joining our First Church as a new member on December 7 which is her birthday. What a lovely birthday present she is giving herself. Love, Carol & Jack
